This policy explains what data the OrtodoxRO app processes, for what purpose, and what control you have over it.
The app may store locally on your device:
If you use the auto-fill from Contacts feature, the app opens the iOS system contact picker. The picker runs outside the app, so OrtodoxRO is never granted access to your address book and cannot read your contacts: it receives only the single contact you tap.
From the contact you choose, the name, first phone number and birthday are copied into the friend profile, for greetings, name day matching and birthday reminders. Only the day and month of the birthday are stored — the year of birth is not.
When you send a greeting, the app opens the native SMS composer or Share Sheet with the phone number and message text, without transmitting this data to external servers. The actual sending is done only through your explicit action.
If you enable synchronization, the app creates/updates events in a dedicated OrtodoxRO calendar within the iOS Calendar app.
For Premium, subscription validation and payment flow are managed through the App Store / StoreKit (Apple).
The liturgical calendar is computed locally on the watch, from data bundled with the app. From your iPhone, the watch receives only two pieces of information, over WatchConnectivity: your Premium subscription status and the language selected in the app.
Your friends list, birthdays and phone numbers are not sent to the watch. The transfer happens directly between your own devices, through Apple's mechanisms, with no intermediate servers.

The app may use iOS Background App Refresh to periodically re-synchronize notifications (approximately every 24 hours). This operation is entirely local — no data is transmitted to external servers.
OrtodoxRO maintains a small number of local counters (for example, how many greetings have been sent) to improve the user experience. This data is stored in UserDefaults on the device and is not transmitted outside the app.
The app uses the security mechanisms provided by the iOS platform and the Apple frameworks it relies on. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access, rectification, or deletion of personal data.

OrtodoxRO is not specifically designed for intentional collection of personal data from children under the minimum applicable age in your jurisdiction.
