Measurio Privacy Policy
Measurio ("the app") is a toolkit of measuring tools and a device monitor for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app uses and where it goes. In short: the app has no account, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking, and the developer does not collect any of your data.
Data processed on your device
The following are used only while you run the tool that needs them. They are processed on your iPhone and are never recorded, stored, or uploaded:
- Camera: to measure distance with augmented reality and to estimate ambient light. No photos or video are saved.
- Microphone: to estimate the ambient sound level. No audio is recorded.
- Motion & Fitness: to read air pressure from the barometer.
- Magnetometer, battery, CPU, memory, and storage information: to show live readings.
Charging patterns the app learns (for example, typical charge rates) and your settings are stored only on your device. You can erase the learned data at any time with Hardware → Reset Learning, or by deleting the app.
Network features and third-party services
A few network tools contact third-party services. They receive your IP address, as any internet service does:
- Public IP lookup: the app asks ipify for your public IP address so it can show it to you.
- Speed test: run only when you start it, using Measurement Lab (M-Lab). M-Lab publishes all test results, including the IP address used for the test, as open research data. See the M-Lab privacy policy. The app shows this notice before your first speed test.
- Latency test: opens a connection to the public DNS server you choose (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, Google 8.8.8.8, or Quad9 9.9.9.9) to measure response time. No data is sent beyond the connection itself.
The developer does not receive the results of these tests.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
